Construction Once construction gets under way, we will work hard to minimise the impact on communities and the environment along the route. We will keep you informed of our progress and let you know what you can expect to see, and when. Subject to planning approval, early construction work is expected to start in the spring of 2023 to winter of 2023. This will include creating access for the main construction works, building compounds and preparing sites along the route. Compounds Main and satellite compounds will be set up at intervals along the route of the pipeline. Once the locations are confirmed they will be added to our interactive map. Main compounds will be created near to ‘A’ roads, where practicable, to reduce the impact on the local road network. Satellite compounds will be situated near A and B roads, where practicable. Areas around compounds will be monitored to ensure dirt is not deposited/transported onto surrounding roads. Vehicle wheels will be cleaned, and road sweepers will be used. Working hours Our working hours will generally be 7am to 7pm (5.30pm in winter), Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend and night-time working. Roadworks To ensure the safety of our teams and of road users, traffic management will be used at various times - including temporary two-way traffic lights, the use of roads cones to section off small areas of a carriageway and a limited number of temporary road closures. We will work closely with Lincolnshire County Council’s highways department to minimise the impact. Once traffic management locations are confirmed, they will be added to our interactive map.
